EMS arrives on scene of the Taylor shooting and Renee runs to meet them. She tells them to follow her and once they are inside she tells them it is Henry Taylor, the President’s husband but that information is not to be disseminated. The medics nod and they run downstairs. In a split screen Jack works on Taylor checking his wound. Taylor stirs but Jack needs him to try not to speak, he has to save his energy. Jack hears the medics coming downstairs and yells for them. They close in and tell Jack to step back. Jack gets up and does and the medic radios that it is Unit 6 and they have a gunshot trauma. Jack id’s it as a 9 millimeter and then turns to Renee. He asks if she is okay and she says she is. Jack is going to call the President; he wants Renee to search their computers looking for information on where Dubaku may have gone. Jack makes a call to Taylor’s office and ID’s himself to the voice on the phone. He wants to speak with the President.
At the White House Kanin encourages Taylor not to lose hope but the President is worried, Dubaku knows they tried to deceive him and he has no reason to keep her husband alive. A voice interrupts saying there is a call from Jack Bauer. Taylor rushes to the phone with Buchannan and Kanin in tow. Jack tells her right away that her husband is alive but he has a gunshot wound to the chest. She asks how bad it is and Jack tells her the EMT’s are stabilizing him to transfer him to the hospital. Taylor wants Jack to be more specific, is her husband going to be okay. Jack, blood on his hands literally, says they won’t know until a doctor sees him. He warns her that he has lost a lot of blood. Buchannan asks from the
background if they have Dubaku. Jack gives Buchannan a negative; he was gone before they got there. They have to assume that he is trying to leave the country but they don’t know how. Jack and Renee are going to stay behind and search, Dubaku probably has an exit strategy in place, they need to find him and to it fast. Taylor thanks Jack and tells him to keep her apprised of everything. Jack says ‘Yes, ma’am’ and before the President hangs up he finishes with, ‘I’m sorry.’

Taylor is shocked and leans over the desk still. Kanin steps up and says he’s sorry about her husband. Buchannan looks on and Taylor decides, she is going to the hospital to be with her husband. Immediately, Kanin protests, she is running a military invasion. Taylor knows her generals can do that without her, she looks to Buchannan and Kanin is concerned, they can’t overlook the fact that her Secret Service has been compromised, they can’t insure her safety. Taylor doesn’t give a damn, she is not going to be held prisoner in her office while her husband fights for his life. She orders Kanin to find someone to take her to the hospital or she will drive there herself. Buchannan steps up and says that she knows his record of service; if it’s acceptable to her he is willing to assume responsibility for her security. Kanin reminds Buchanan that he is no longer credentialed, he doesn’t have the authority. Buchanan knows that until they have Dubaku and have interrogated him they have no idea who in the government is working for him; Buchanan turns to the President and says, ‘You do not know who you can trust.’ Taylor continues for him, ‘But I can trust you.’ He tells her that he brought her this conspiracy; he would hope he has earned her trust. She asks him what he will need, Buchannan needs clearance to vet the White House staff and he needs to bring someone into the FBI, Chloe O’Brien. Chloe is the best there is and Buchanan can vouch for her. Kanin argues that her clearance has been revoked as well when CTU was shut down. He asks if there is anyone else that they have on staff that can do what he needs. Buchannan reminds him that someone at the FBI is on Dubaku’s payroll; they
can’t take a chance while they are still trying to track Dubaku. Taylor agrees to Buchannan’s plan, she says her director of White House Secret Service is Agent Hovis, she will order him to turn over his Secret Service protocols to Buchannan. Buchannan knew Ted Hovis and he is not going to like this. Taylor doesn’t give a damn what Hovis thinks, one of his agents was responsible for the kidnapping of her husband. She allows Buchannan his provisional appointment and he thanks her. She says he can thank her by getting her to the hospital. Buchannan heads away and Kanin starts to argue again. She cuts him off but he argues he is looking out for her interests. She claims her interests lie with catching Dubaku and finding getting to the bottom of the corrupted government agents. Whatever it takes, she wants Dubaku found.

Dubaku is standing outside Marika’s work by the back door. He sees her and calls her. She comes out and he says he wants to talk to her. She checks her watch and says she has a break in 20 minutes. Dubaku says it has to be now. She comes all the way to him and asks what is going on, he is scaring her. He explains something has come up and he has to leave the country right away. She wants to know when he is coming back but he says he hasn’t been honest with her. His visa expired a month ago and he is here illegally, he thinks immigration may have caught up with him. Marika jumps to the conclusion that it was her sister, she reported him. Dubaku says it doesn’t matter, he has to leave the country tonight and he wants her to come with him. She is surprised by the timeline but he reminds her that he promised to take her away from this and give her the happiness she deserves. She is not ready tonight, not so soon. He snaps at her that he doesn’t have time to argue. She looks offended and he apologizes. Marika cannot just leave Rosa; she needs Marika to take care of her. Dubaku knows and promises that she will join them as soon as possible. He has made arrangements for both of them to leave tonight but he wants her to promise not to tell her sister about their plans. Marika can’t just run off but Dubaku thinks that Rosa might cause trouble for them if she knows everything and make it impossible for them to leave. He promises that soon her sister will join them, within a couple of days of their arrival in Belize. He has shown her photos of his home there. He asks if she loves him and she answers yes. He wants her to say she will come with him. She thinks for a second and then says she will get her things. They kiss and hug. Dubaku says he needs to finalize their arrangements. He wants her to go home and pack and wait for his call. She agrees and leaves back into the diner, he watches.
Dubaku calls his guy, Burnett and asks if he has made the preparations. Burnett is almost done but it’s difficult because private and commercial air craft have been grounded. They’ll manage though. Dubaku checks that it’s 2 passengers and Burnett confirms. He asks if Dubaku thinks Juma will not be pleased he abandoned the mission. Dubaku says it’s over, he has done everything he can do and if that is not enough for Juma then to hell with him. Burnett has Dubaku’s passports and itinerary in hand, he wants to meet at the usual spot in half an hour. Dubaku has a different place in mind, the Roosevelt Continental Hotel. Burnett thinks that’s not a good idea, it will be crowded. Dubaku knows, as he gets into the back of a car he says he wants to make it earlier as well, 15 minutes. They hang up.
Renee and Jack look over a laptop and she can’t get it to boot, the hard drive is fried. Jack thinks they should start searching the bodies, he turns to one and she starts on another. Her phone rings and she answers it finding Larry on the other end. Larry has just been briefed by Buchannan and asks about Henry’s status. She says he’s on the way to the hospital and she doesn’t know anything else about it. Larry asks about the firefight and Renee tells him with some pride that her and Jack took out 6 of Dubaku’s men but Dubaku was gone before they got there. He asks if she is alright and she says she’s been in worse. He wants to know if she’s sure and she steps away from the dead man and says she is fine. Larry is not convinced of that. She asks what that is supposed to mean. Larry checks a file that he has in front of him and say she just got a report from local police filed by a Carol Vossler saying that an unidentified woman held her and her child hostage at gunpoint. Renee knows they have talked about this, it was their only choice. Larry mocks that that is Jack Bauer’s justification for everything. Larry knows that Jack Bauer is about to be strung up by a Senate Subcommittee and she is following his book. Larry brings up that they are already looking into the stunt she pulled with Tanner at the hospital. Renee defends herself that no one was hurt at the Vossler’s and Larry is angry, he reminds her that Vossler is dead, Bauer killed him. Larry is scared about what is happening to her, she put these people through hell and it doesn’t bother her. Renee sees her reflection in the mirror and notices that blood from the dead terrorist that was on her hand has now been wiped on her face. She works to rub it off as she says it worked, but of course it bothers her. Jack is in the background watching and listening to Renee as she explains to Larry that the way Carol was staring at her, she had no idea that her husband was a traitor and a killer. They looked at her like she was the monster. Jack calls Renee and he is holding a pair of PDA’s. He says that there is information on both of them that leads to an account that track to the same address. Jack reads it off and Renee gives it to Moss. Jack wants satellite of the area but until the person Buchannan is sending over gets there arrives, they are going in blind. They hang up. Jack asks Renee, who appears shaken, if she is okay. She says she’s fine.

Marika quietly lets herself into her apartment; Rosa is asleep in front of the TV. Marika pauses for a few seconds at her sister and then heads into her room and pulls out her suitcases.
Chloe sits in a car riding shotgun, we quickly see the driver is Morris and they are listening to the news on the radio. Chloe turns around and looks at the child strapped in the back seat. Morris asks if she is sure she doesn’t need help. She will be fine, she is just running the FBI ops temporarily until they catch Dubaku and he tells them who on the government is on his payroll. Stopping the car Morris asks ‘Then we can go home?’ Chloe confirms it. He gets her stuff out of the trunk and warns her to be careful, if Buchannan is right about someone in the bureau working for Dubaku, Chloe says she will watch her back, he tells Morris to watch Prescott. She leans into the kid in the back and says she has to go to work. He says bye to his mommy. She stops to tell Morris to be good too and kisses him quickly. She heads to the guards and Morris calls after her that if she gets jammed up she knows where to find him.
Moss walks through the FBI with Janice. He assigns her some tasks, the last of which is the hourlies. She complains that this is busywork and administrative crap. Larry doesn’t have the time or the inclination to explain himself to her. A woman comes over and says that Chloe O’Brien has cleared security. Moss asks for a VPN set up in the conference room and tells Janice that there is someone from Homeland here to look for residual breaches in their firewall. Moss goes and meets Chloe; he shakes her hand and calls her Mrs. O’Brien. She says to call her Chloe and as she walks past she locks eyes with Janice. They go into the conference room and Moss says that they are ready to go if Buchannan has her up to speed. She is and Moss says Bauer has a lead on Dubaku; he gives the address to Chloe and asks for satellite support for Jack. Chloe stares out of the glass doors and Moss asks what’s wrong. Chloe is feeling a little exposed here, if someone is working for Dubaku she thinks they should be somewhere more covert. Moss explains that everything thinks she is working on shoring up the firewall and besides this is the only place she can have full access to their systems, there is no set up for remote modules. Chloe snarks that that is inefficient, whoever set their network up that way didn’t know what they were doing. After a short pause Moss admits that he set up their network that way. Chloe gives an awkward, ‘Okay’ and has a seat. Moss walks a few steps and then stops. Chloe asks if there is something else and Moss asks, ‘You worked with Bauer for a long time.’ Chloe tells him 7 years on and off. Moss muses that it’s impressive. She looks at him quizzically and he finishes, that she survived the experience. Chloe asks impatiently what Moss is talking about. “A lot of people didn’t, Curtis Manning, Ryan Chapelle, his own wife.” Chloe cuts him off before he can continue the list asking if Moss is saying it’s Jack’s fault that his wife was killed. Moss has no answer and Chloe tells him flat out, ‘Jack Bauer is the most trustworthy and honorable man I know. You should be worried less about him and more about the mole in your office working for Dubaku.’ Moss takes Chloe’s comments well and looks out onto the office.
Janice eyes Larry and Chloe and Erica arrives next to her. Erica asks Janice if that is Chloe O’Brien. Erica tells Janice that she was the senior analyst at CTU; she went to a seminar she gave. Erica asks what she is doing at the FBI and Janice gives Erica the story that Moss gave her. Erica is skeptical, it doesn’t sound like her area of expertise, and she has been inactive since CTU was decommissioned.
Dubaku arrives for his meeting with Burnett and sits down across from him. The hotel is busy, there are people everywhere. Burnett puts down
an envelope and Dubaku takes it, it’s the passports and itinerary. He has a plane fuelling and it will be ready to leave in half an hour to head to the Cayman Islands. He can get to Belize from there. Dubaku wants a car and a driver but Burnett thought he would have his own transportation. Dubaku says it’s not for him and Burnett realizes it’s for the girl. He’s hesitant, he’s not sure he can find someone he trusts on such short notice. Dubaku looks around the hotel and asks about the man at the bar, or the 2 men on the balcony, or the two in the black town car waiting outside. Dubaku is not a fool; he knows that Burnett sees him as a liability. Burnett claims to be there to guarantee his safety, not threaten it. Dubaku mocks that he said that with such sincerity. Dubaku leans in and tells Burnett to take a message back with him, if anything happens to him on his way out of the country, an accident or an assassination attempt a filed with the names of those involved with him and their transactions will be sent to the justice department. The same rules apply for Marika, she knows nothing about this and she is not a threat to them. Dubaku wants him to make sure the driver knows that before he brings her to him. Dubaku makes Burnett tell him that he understands so that there are no mistakes. He complies. Dubaku tells him that there is one thing he has learned working in the company of mercenaries, they only care about their own survival. He wishes him good day and leaves. After Dubaku has left, Burnett gets up and gives the hold sign to the men on the balcony. Burnett makes a cell phone call and says that Dubaku suspected them and he assembled evidence to use against them as a security policy. They need to make sure that he gets into exile safely.

Marika is packing her bags and Rosa arrives at her doorway asking what’s going on. Marika is going away from here, ‘All of us.’ Rosa wants to know what she means ‘all’ of them. Marika fills her in that she was right about Samuel, he was an illegal and he has to leave the country. She has agreed to go with him. Rosa thinks she is leaving her but Marika says that she is only leaving her for a short time, she will come too and they will live at his place in Belize. Rosa thinks she is being lied to and she won’t let Marika do this. Marika has taken care of Rosa her entire life and has done everything for her and she just wants her to let her have this one thing. Rosa doesn’t trust him but Marika says that she has never liked any man that has shown interest in her. This is her chance at happiness and she is not going to let her ruin it. Rosa is in Marika’s way stopping her from leaving her room. Marika yells at her to move and she doesn’t get to the door before it is broken in from the other side, Jack and Renee are there, guns out. Renee yells for them not to move and Jack commands Marika to her knees. They are told to put their hands behind their heads and interlock their fingers. Jack checks the other rooms and gives the clear. Renee asks where Dubaku is. They don’t know who they are talking about and Jack explains that they traced Dubaku’s bank accounts to this address. They don’t know who he is talking about and Jack offers to make it easier. He pulls out his cell phone and shows Marika a photo of Dubaku. She claims to not know who he is but Jack can see she is lying to him. He asks her again and Rosa wants to see. Jack moves the phone over to her and Rosa ID’s him right away, his name is Samuel Aboa. Marika tells her to shut up but Rosa keeps going saying that her sister was going to meet him and leave her. She doesn’t know where they were going. Jack turns back to Marika and asks if she works for him. Marika says no and Jack asks again. Jack asks her, ‘Do you know what he is doing here in this country, do you have any idea,’ Jack pauses to collect himself, ‘what this man is?’ Marika says weakly, ‘He’s everything to me.’

At the hospital there is military walking the halls and a nurse watches. Allison Taylor comes up to the nurse with Buchannan and Kanin in tow.
She wants to see her husband but the nurse doesn’t know if that’s possible. She says Dr. Schulman is doing the surgery and Schulman himself appears almost immediately. He introduces himself to the President and says that she can see her husband right now but only briefly. He tells the President that Mr. Taylor is looking at a minimum of five hours or surgery, the bullet damaged his colonary artery and did damage in the thoracic region plus he has internal bleeding. Taylor asks for the prognosis saying she is a blunt woman. Schulman says that it’s not good, but he will do everything he can. He has to go scrub and Henry is wheeled by. She is over him and gets his attention, he calls her Ali and she says she’s here. She apologizes for not listening to him about Roger, he was right it wasn’t suicide. She says he was always right and Roger was a hero, and so is he. A nurse says that they have to take him, the anesthesiologist is ready. Taylor kisses her husband and they wheel him in. The door is closed and Taylor goes to the window to see. Buchannan and Kanin are in the shadows behind her. Taylor calls Mr. Buchannan who steps forward with a ‘Yes, Madame President.’ She has something that she needs Buchannan to do for him, she needs him to find her daughter Olivia and bring her there. Taylor will not tell her because her daughter has not spoken to her for some time and she will never get on the phone with her. She works for a consulting firm and wants to know if Buchannan has someone trustworthy to send. Buchannan nods and says he believes he does. He steps away.

Jack paces Marika’s apartment while Renee convinces her that Dubaku is indeed an evil man. He shows her photos on her phone of him doing terrible things and tells her that he has been called The Butcher of Sangala. Marika doesn’t want to see any more and asks what she said his
name was, Jack says Dubaku, Ike Dubaku. Jack sits on the other end of the couch from Marika and tells her quietly that he has seen first hand what he is capable of. He was in Africa a few months ago and he was responsible for murdering a friend of his. Marika looks even more upset and Jack says they need her help, he is in the country and before he leaves they need to find him. Marika tells them that Dubaku didn’t tell her where they were meeting, she was supposed to go home and pack and he was going to call. Jack asks for her phone and she digs it out of her pocket handing it to Jack. He sticks an ear piece on the phone and tells her gently that when Dubaku calls he wants her to answer the phone so he can listen. Marika nearly panics and says she can’t. He asks her to listen to him, the man she thought she knew, that she had feelings for, he doesn’t exist. All she is left with are his lies and betrayal. The cell rings and Marika confirms that it’s Dubaku calling. She hesitates, she can’t answer the phone but Jack tries to talk her into it. She practically hyperventilates as Jack asks her to just pick up the phone and talk to him so they can find out where he wants to meet her. She takes the phone and looks at her sister before answering. Dubaku is happy to hear her and asks if she is alright when he hears her voice. She says she is fine and he wants to know what took so long to answer. She makes up a story that she was in her room packing. Dubaku presses that she sounds strange and she continues that Rosa caught her packing and they argued. She had to tell her everything, it was the only way and she understands now. Dubaku makes sure she is certain and Marika says she knows they will be together in a few days. Dubaku comments that she should be grateful that she has such an angel for a sister. Marika is almost ready to go and Dubaku is sending the car. Marika asks where it is taking her but he says not to worry about that, the driver will know, he just wants the woman he loves to get downstairs as quickly as possible. She hangs up and cries and Jack tells her she did great.

Renee asks if they got the meet point and Jack says no, he is sending a car with a driver. Jack walks away and tells Renee to follow him. He checks the window of the apartment seeing kids playing soccer outside but no car on the street. Renee thinks they can get Dubaku’s location out of the driver but Jack figures that will take too long and Dubaku is not going to wait around, he wants to send Marika to meet with him. Renee is shocked but Jack says they can use her cell phone as a transmitter to track her. Renee doesn’t want to send her to Dubaku but they have no other choice. They need to get Dubaku and this is their shot. Jack leaves Renee and goes back to Marika. He kneels down and rests his hand on her hands. Quietly, he says, ‘I have a favor to ask you.’ He explains when the car arrives he wants her to go with the driver so they can find Dubaku. Rosa clarifies that they want her to go and face him. Jack says it’s their only chance but Rosa says no, as her older sister she won’t allow it. Marika says that this is not Rosa’s decision, it’s hers, and it’s the right thing to do. Renee looks skeptical behind Jack’s back but he asks to see her phone. She hands it over again and he takes the battery out. He explains he is getting the SID number so they can track her, she will not be alone and they will follow her. They will never be more than a mile behind her. Rosa asks if she hears that, a mile behind. Jack says as soon as they reach their destination they will move in. Rosa says that Marika heard what they said, he’s a murderer and he can hurt her. Marika knows he won’t. She says she should have listened to Rosa, she was right about him. Rosa admits that the only reason that she said those things was because she was jealous and she didn’t want to lose her. Marika and Rosa hug. Jack has made a call to Moss who says that the operational support has arrived, Jack is put on with Chloe and sounds surprised to hear her voice. He wants to know how long it will take her to set up the trace Chloe snarls that it’s usually a few seconds but because of the backwards way the system is set up it will be a few minutes. Jack gives her the SID number for the phone 1C48689. They are tracking a woman that is involved with Dubaku. Moss asks if it is one of his operatives but Jack says it’s more complicated than that.
Away from Jack and Moss Janice works to gain access to Chloe’s terminal but she is denied repeatedly.

Janice heads over to Sean and asks for the digital data key for the server. When questioned she lies that Larry asked for it, it’s to do with the firewall. Sean wonders why he didn’t just come to him and thinks that he might go ask him. Janice stops him and says that Larry brought this woman, Chloe O’Brian in to replace her and she wants to get a beat on what they are working on. Sean knows that’s enough for them bo
th to lose their jobs and Janice offers to stop covering for her, then, with Erica and his sexual indiscretion. She hasn’t said anything to Larry or Sean’s wife and she is assuming he wants her to keep it that way. Sean goes for the drawer and twists the dial to unlock it. He gets in and pulls out the drive and puts it down on his desk, hand covering it. She knocks his hand off and snatches it up and Sean tells her, “You’re a bitch, you know that?” Janice throws it right back calling Sean a bitch.

Chloe is ready to go at the FBI, Jack tells Marika that they are on. He goes and picks up her bags and Marika says goodbye to Rosa with a hug. She picks up her purse and jacket and follows Jack out the door. Renee is the last one out and Rosa calls her, ‘FBI’. She says to keep her safe. Renee says she will and follows, Rosa looks worried.
The trio heads downstairs and Marika says she is really scared. Jack reassures her that they are right behind her. Renee starts to let her know a set of numbers she can dial if she is in trouble but Jack cuts her off saying not to do that. They don’t want her to do anything that will tip the driver to what they are doing. Marika is ready and she heads out the front door while Jack and Renee stay behind on each side of the doorway. Jack scolds Renee asking what the hell she was doing. Renee argues that Marika was scared and she wanted to know she had a choice other than waiting for them to swoop in. If they want to find Dubaku there is no other option, he reminds her that she has run operations like this before but she hasn’t without full tactical and backup. Jack tells her that this is not about her; it’s about Marika and Dubaku. They have to get Dubaku or innocent people are going to get hurt, people that don’t have a choice. Marika made a choice to help them get Dubaku, outside that Renee needs to not get involved. Jack sees the car there and tells Chloe who copies. Renee is on her gun as Marika gets in the car. They drive off and Chloe is locked in on the cell. She tells them where they are headed as Renee and Jack get out across the street. Jack asks if Chloe can upload the grid to Renee’s PDA but she can’t, she’ll have to direct them. Jack drives as Renee rides passenger.
Janice goes into the server room and plugs the drive into the terminal. She gets into the system.
4:50

The driver drives Marika and she asks how much farther it is. He ignores her and Marika looks out the window.
Renee and Jack follow in their car, they are less than a mile behind and Chloe says the target car is turning. In the tech room Janice is listening to Jack, Larry and Chloe work the surveillance. A man comes in the room and she pulls the drive out of the socket. With Larry, Chloe’s screen glitches and she loses what she is doing. Jack asks what’s going on and Chloe tells him. Renee starts to panic saying she gave that woman her word. Suddenly, the screen is back up and running. Chloe tells Jack where Marika is and that he should back off. Meanwhile, Chloe is trying to find the glitch and sees that someone has been into her system; someone in the office is mirroring her terminal. Whoever it is knows that they are doing now. Moss looks out into the office and then asks Chloe if she can back trace it. There is no link, it could be anywhere. Out of nowhere, Jack sees police vehicles coming, they are all around him. He tries to evade them and tells Larry that they are trying to build a roadblock. He yells for Larry to do something. Moss gets on the phone and calls the DC police. Inside the car, Jack has stopped and is yelling his identification at them as well as Renee’s. They are both taken out of the car and cuffed on the ground. Jack tells Larry to do something.
Moss is on the phone saying that there was no warrant issued but Chloe finds one. She reads from it that they are to apprehend them using decisive force, they are armed and dangerous. It was issued from this office and it was using the right codes. Moss says he’s the special agent in charge of this operation; he needs them to be released. He doesn’t have time to wait for the chain of command; they need to be released now.
Janice returns the key to Sean who asks if O’Brien is here to replace her. Janice says no, her and Larry are working on some kind of cover op with Jack Bauer tracking Dubaku. They agree that they don’t know why they are being kept in the dark. Janice leaves and Sean makes a cell phone call. He tells Burnett that he took care of Bauer and Walker, they have been pinned down. Burnett asks why he is hearing about this at the last minute and Sean explains that Moss is running his own operation and it took him some time to tap into the conference room phone line. Burnett wants him to disable the tracking of Marika but Sean can’t do that from his console, they are using her cell as the tracker. Sean questions Burnett; he thought that once Dubaku had served his purpose they were going to take him out. Burnett explains that he is threatening them to turn in the names and accounts of everyone that he is involved with. Sean is shocked, ‘Everyone?’ Burnett just tells him to pray that Dubaku gets away.
In the split screen we see Henry being worked on, Sean, Pierce and Olivia, Taylor, Moss, Sean, Chloe, Marika and Jack and Renee both over the hoods of police cars being cuffed.
Dubaku’s phone rings. Burnett is calling him and says they have a problem; his girlfriend turned and is talking to the FBI. Dubaku doesn’t believe it but Burnett says they met with her half an hour ago and she told them who he really is. Dubaku thinks she would never do that but it came from Burnett’s source and the bureau, they’re using her cell as a tracker. Burnett will get his driver to take care of her, Dubaku needs to get into the air. Dubaku wants to do this. Burnet argues that he is risking his chance at escape. Dubaku will take care of it.

Miscellaneous Thoughts:
-This was a pretty strong episode. I wasn’t anticipating a whole lot since Tony wasn’t even in the preview. He wasn’t in the show either but it was still a good episode.
-Winner of the biggest word of the week, Renee for Disseminated.
-Jack sure doesn’t look like he’s doing a whole lot to help Henry’s wound. I know he’s checking it out, but shouldn’t he be like, putting pressure on it or something?
-That was the fastest medic service ever. They got there before Jack even managed to get Taylor out of the chair.
-Jack has turned to Renee what Curtis had turned to Jack – constantly asking if she is okay. I think she would let him know if she wasn’t. She seems to be pretty good at telling him when she (often) has a problem.
-Taylor was right about them not needing to keep Henry alive. Good thing she put Jack on the case.
-Jack’s cell phone must be so blood covered by the end of the day. He constantly seems to be making calls with blood on his hands. Real blood, not figurative blood, which he also has.
-It’s interesting how Jack can be so work oriented and compartmentalize things but when it comes to the President, he has so much more trouble with it. You can tell that he feels terrible about Henry’s condition, but if it weren’t for him, Henry would be dead.
-It’s also interesting how he speaks freely to the President but as soon as Buchannan asks about the mission, he switches back to the military style jargon.
-I like how decisive Taylor is after she has made up her mind. She is going to the hospital and that’s the end of it. No amount of protesting from Kanin is going to change her mind.
-That is a lot of responsibility for Buchannan, to be basically the one man security team for the President when there are corrupt operatives everywhere.
-Could you imagine the security disaster that would happen if the President decided to drive themselves somewhere? Think about the Secret Service fiasco.
-That says a lot for Chloe. There is no one else of the government staff that can do what she can.
-I wonder how much of that is that Jack trusts Chloe and not that many other people.
-That was a lot of close to swear words that Taylor used when she was trying to get to the hospital.
-I agree that Buchannan should have earned Taylor’s trust.
-Marika is pretty quick to jump to her sister as the reason that Dubaku is in trouble. She doesn’t know the half of it.
-If Dubaku and Marika were to get out of the country, I would give the chances of Dubaku actually bringing Rosa about 10%.
-Those are pretty strong words from Dubaku about Juma. He didn’t seem so lax about him in Sangala during Redemption.
-Dubaku is evil, but he is also smart. Good choice on messing with Burnet’s timeline.
-There’s an editing error. Renee says that she can’t get that laptop to boot; the hard drive must be fried. Problem being, it is booted up, running, and has icons on the blue desktop. Do they really think us obsessive fans are not going to catch this stuff?
-Renee seems proud of her shooting skills. She should be proud that she has been Jack’s ‘partner’ for a couple of hours now and has lived to tell about it.
-A lot of people are spending a lot of time asking Renee if she is alright.
-Yes, I think dead Vossler counts as someone that got ‘hurt’ there Renee.
-Renee is on the verge of a meltdown here. IT’s pretty early in the season for that.
-It was really nice to see Morris again, too bad the scene that he and Chloe had together watched like a commercial for the Hyundai Genesis. They even threw in extra shots of the exterior of the car. It’s kind of extremely annoying.
-I wonder where ‘home’ is for Chloe and Morris. I’m going to assume its LA and they are in D.C. just for this Buchannan/Tony gig.
-That warning from Morris sounds possibly like some foreshadowing for Chloe. Is she really safe at the FBI? How angry would Jack be if she ended up dead? She’s been more loyal to him than even his own daughter.
-That was some creative shooting with Chloe since Mary Lynn Rajskub is 8-9 months pregnant in real life in these episodes. They gave her a jack-pack to cover her belly up.
-Prescott? In case you were wondering, this was also the last name the Season 2 Vice President that was responsible for getting Palmer in trouble with the 25 th amendment. He as an idiot and I can’t see Chloe naming a son anything even close to this. Unless there’s some kind of family connection that we don’t know about, it seems like a pretty stupid name. It’s probably some kind of connection to someone the writers or producers know, but it sucks because they already used it. Chloe is the type that would name her kid after someone. You know, someone like Jack maybe?
-For the records, Prescott is played by Howard Gordon’s son.
-That kid looks pretty old to be Chloe and Morris’s kid. He would have to be somewhere around a year and a couple of months if my math is right. Chloe was pregnant at the end of Season 6, so 9 months after that. Jack was gone for about 2 years.
-Chloe is still Chloe and good at putting her foot in her mouth. It’s hilarious to see her back down once she realizes that she has basically called the head of the DC FBI office and idiot.
-Well, it’s a good thing that Moss’ theory about lying to the rest of the FBI about Chloe’s purpose backfired.
-I love that ‘everyone is against you’ feel that Chloe and Moss are giving off when they look out on the FBI and its workers.
-Chloe and Jack worked together 7 years ‘on and off’. Since season 3 it has been mostly ‘off’. Chloe started at CTU very soon before Day 3, and then Jack was fired after that by Driscoll. They worked together for Day 4 and then Jack was ‘killed’. I guess you could count the time between Season 4 and 5 as Chloe ‘working’ with Jack, even though it wasn’t at all CTU related. She fed him information about things in the US. Then Jack was kidnapped after Season 5 and in China. After Season 6 he took off around the world. That’s not really a lot of time with Chloe working with Jack.
-Chloe almost didn’t survive it. She was almost taken out in Season 5 but Jack saved her.
-It seems everyone in the government is hell bent on making Jack out to be some sort of evil, ruthless, soulless devil. It’s wrong. He simply has done his job so well that he has no place in the society that he has worked so hard to protect.
-Line of the week contender: Chloe to Moss: Jack Bauer is the most trustworthy and honorable man I know.’
-Can anyone imagine any kind of seminar that Chloe would give? It probably would be really educational, if you could make out what she was talking about. Don’t even bother asking a question unless you want a good berating.
-I can’t figure out whether it was smart or stupid for Dubaku to give Marika’s address for the bank stuff. It keeps them out of his place, but at the same time, it leads them to a potential weak link.
-The little pause by Jack mustering up the hatred for Dubaku is great. Well played.
-If my husband or wife is going into surgery and the surgeon is as unoptimistic as Schulman, I would be professing love. Taylor doesn’t do that and I found it interesting.
-I knew right away who that trustworthy person Buchannan would send would be. It would have to be Pierce.
-So, did everyone just leave LA and move to DC? So far, we’ve got Pierce, Chloe, Morris, Tony and Buchannan all in DC. No mention of Karen Hayes, Buchannan’s wife, though. She was in Washington previously. I’m not convinced her and Buchannan are still married since he doesn’t seem to be wearing a ring, but how could you divorce Bill?
-‘The Butcher of Sangala’. They called Viktor Drazen ‘The Butcher of Belgrade’ in Season 1. I guess they like that kind of stuff.
-Finally Jack brings up his experience in Sangala.
-Overall, Marika did a pretty good job with Dubaku. Those are quite the stories she concocted on the fly.
-This whole hostage as bait thing never really works out that well for the bait.
-The argument of Marika to Rosa is very much like to agreement of Kim to Jack in Season 3. It’s the right thing to do.
-Nice set up for us to think Janice is the mole, her trying to get into the systems. It made me realize that there’s no way it would be her.
-The man that Olivia Taylor meets is actually David Fury. He has been on with 24 for a long time as an Executive Producer and co-executive producer. He’s also a writer for the show. I knew I’d seen him before; it just took me a few minutes to place him.
-Pierce gets to continue his run this year as the only character, other than Jack, to be in every season of 24. Pierce rocks.
-Pierce didn’t flash his badge long for Olivia to pick up the notation that he is retired. She’s pretty observant.
-Olivia is very like her mother: Blunt.
-I’m thinking that Sean is not the best person to trust with this digital data key, you know, since he’s a mole and all.
-Janice certainly knows where to push Sean. Nice work.
-Line of the week contender: Sean to Janice: “You’re a bitch, you know that?” Nice. Just wait until Sean works with Chloe. Then he’ll see a bitch at work.
-How nice of Jack to carry Marika’s bags for her. He could always do that for a living, if he ever gets out of jail.
-I totally thought that Renee was going to draw on Jack when they let Marika go. She had her hand on her gun. Jack would so kick her ass.
-If she’s going to be around Jack, she better get used to not having full tactical and back up. Jack never waits for back up, even when it’s near suicide so she better suck it up.
-Jack is right, as well. If Marika starts playing with her cell and acting suspicious, it’ll tip the driver. Its best if she just trusts Jack protect her from a distance.
-Janice is listening to Larry, Jack and Chloe. We can assume that she also knows Renee is with them and she doesn’t seem all that shocked to find out that Renee is alive since the last thing she heard, Renee was, in all likelihood, dead.
-I’m not sure exactly what Jack thinks Moss is going to be able to do about the police closing in like that.
-Could you imagine Jack trying to explain to the police who he is and what he is doing? Good thing he just went right to Renee telling the cops that she’s a federal agent.
-Although Moss is quick to condemn Jack, he is also quick to do some similar things, including wanting to bypass the chain of command.
